Support trial of e-cargo bikes for Roman Road

posted in: Press release | 0

Tower Hamlets Council’s High Streets & Town Centres (HS&TC) and Market Services Teams are supporting businesses across Tower Hamlets to trial the use of e-cargo bikes for deliveries.

This comes as part of a wider programme of business support & advice for the borough’s market traders, hospitality and retail businesses.

Tower Hamlets Council is helping local enterprises adapt their operating model, improve their marketing skills and set up or improve existing click & collect and home delivery services for their customers. Two Roman Road businesses are taking part in the e-cargo bike trial.

Some local high street shops and market traders already offer a delivery service using their own vehicle. However, using e-cargo bikes offers an affordable and green solution to increase local businesses’ capacity to offer delivery.

Two market traders and three shops are being supported to trial green deliveries for their customers using the e-cargo bikes. Two of these businesses are in Roman Road: G Kelly Pie & Mash in Bow and Peckover Butchers in Globe Town.

Help support this e-cargo trial by placing an order with any of the fantastic high street businesses listed below for free delivery:
